UP schools shut till August 12 as Kanwar Yatra brings traffic curbs across western districts

Schools, colleges and universities across several western Uttar Pradesh districts, including Ghaziabad, Meerut, Baghpat and Muzaffarnagar, have been temporarily closed due to the ongoing Kanwar Yatra. The administrations cited student safety and severe traffic congestion caused by the movement of lakhs of pilgrims, while permitting scheduled examinations to continue as planned.
