'UGC rules violated': Delhi University blocks St Stephen’s principal appointment- what happened

Delhi University has stopped St Stephen's College from appointing its new principal. The university states the selection committee was not formed according to UGC rules. St Stephen's had announced Susan Elias as the new principal. Delhi University insists all colleges funded by the central government must follow UGC regulations.
