NSRTC 2026: Science-powered startups key to Viksit Bharat 2047, say Man Mohan Sharma and R. A. Mashelkar

India must embrace failure as an essential part of scientific discovery to become a global innovation leader, senior chemical engineer Man Mohan Sharma said at NSRTC 2026 while receiving the Vigyan Maharshi Award. He urged researchers to pursue curiosity-driven research despite uncertain outcomes. R. A. Mashelkar stressed that India should create science-powered startups and homegrown technologies, while other speakers called for stronger collaboration among universities, industry and government to achieve the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
