NEET SS counselling stalemate enters fifth month; FAIMA urges Supreme Court, Centre to fast-track admissions

The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has urged the Supreme Court, Union Health Ministry and DGHS to expedite NEET SS counselling, stalled for nearly five months due to litigation over Tamil Nadu's in-service quota. The association warned that the delay is disrupting doctors' careers, worsening specialist shortages in hospitals, and jeopardising the current academic session.
