NEET protest 2026: SCBA condemns alleged lathi charge on students, seeks immediate inquiry

The Supreme Court Bar Association has condemned the alleged lathi charge on students and members of the legal fraternity, calling the reported use of excessive force against peaceful protesters unacceptable. In a resolution dated July 22, 2026, the SCBA sought an immediate, impartial and time-bound inquiry, action against those responsible, medical treatment for those injured and measures to prevent similar incidents. The association also reaffirmed its commitment to constitutional rights and the rule of law.
