
Vinita Gupta, an IIT Roorkee alumna, made history as the first woman of Indian origin to take her own Silicon Valley company public in the US. After earning engineering degrees from IIT Roorkee and UCLA, she built a successful career in telecommunications before founding Digital Link Corporation in 1985.
