From a home lab to two Guinness World Records: How 17-year-old Hiten Dharpure is shrinking the future of robotics

Seventeen-year-old Hiten Dharpure from Nagpur has earned his second Guinness World Record by creating the world’s smallest fully functional electro-mechanical robotic arm, measuring just 39.25 mm. Built in a home laboratory using CAD design, 3D printing and Arduino programming, the invention showcases accessible innovation. Hiten previously set a record for the world’s smallest AI weather station and has also developed an offline Indian Sign Language translation app, inspiring students to pursue STEM with creativity and perseverance.
