Ex-Agniveers to get 50% reservation, age relaxation and recruitment exemptions in CAPFs and Assam Rifles

The Centre has announced a new recruitment category for Ex-Agniveers in Constable (General Duty) posts in CAPFs and Rifleman posts in the Assam Rifles. The provisions include 50 per cent reservation of vacancies, three years' upper age relaxation, a five-year age relaxation for the first batch and exemptions from the Physical Standards Test, Physical Efficiency Test and written examination. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also created a dedicated Ex-Agniveer wing.
